At Parenting Uganda, we provide our children with the best care and the best inquiry-based, internationally-minded early education, so that they can become their generation’s best artists, creators, thinkers, problem-solvers and leaders.
Our early childhood education centre is a fully accredited and comprehensive program through which we minister Christian-based care to the children and support parents in the care and nurturing of their families. Through quality early childhood education, we are building a strong foundation for spiritual, social, emotional, physical,

caring and safe environment with new things to master and explore to enable the development of the whole child.

Parenting Uganda is Uganda’s first world-oriented preschool and kindergarten candidate authorized to implement the Montessori curriculum Programme for students aged 9 months to 3 years, pursuant to next achieving World School status.
The Montessori method revolutionized how children were educated. The Montessori method is characterized by an emphasis on self-directed activity on the part of the child, using specialized materials that are presented very precisely by the teacher. It stresses the importance of adapting the child’s learning environment to his or her developmental level, and of the role of physical activity in absorbing abstract concepts and practical skills. Collected here in this 3-in-1 omnibus edition are Maria Montessori’s three most important works: The Absorbent Mind, Dr. Montessori’s Own Handbook, and The Montessori Method. The Absorbent Mind was Maria Montessori’s most in-depth work on her educational theory, based on decades of scientific observation of children. Her view on children and their absorbent minds was a landmark departure from the educational model at the time.
High scope curriculum is based upon the fundamental premise that children are Active Learners who learn best from activities that they plan and carry out themselves. This approach promotes extended and enhanced thinking skills and responsible behavior, building self-esteem and self-worth. Early leadership abilities become evident when such cognitive development, boosted by confidence, emerges.
Based on the clinical and laboratory work of child psychologist Jean Piaget, the High/Scope Educational Approach maintains that the best early childhood learning activities are child-initiated, developmentally appropriate and open-ended. High/Scope embraces an environment in which the child develops through active learning aided by Key Experiences and supported by teachers who invite their curiosity and encourage their participation.
